Welcome to tryhard. We’re a small, collaborative publication exploring the drive, uncertainty and joy of being an artist.
Rather than striving to be polished in content or format, it positions itself as a gesture, a way of bringing artists who feel adrift into conversation so they might feel a little less alone. Its methodology is slow, conversational, and process-led, creating space for the more difficult parts of being an artist to be expressed creatively without needing resolution. tryhard is not primarily interested in finished pieces, but in fragments, images, texts, and in-progress thoughts that speak to these experiences.
Issue One was launched at The Writer’s Room, 35 Britannia Row, Islington, London, on 11 June.
